Our Mission: To provide the community with sustainable access to essential mental health services from qualified professionals through the WINGS Mental Health fund, and foster positive attitudes to mental health by delivering preventative and promotional health services to members.

Our Vision: To facilitate cultural change by empowering the community to take positive action to address their mental health.

The Hawthorn Cricket Club is very proud to join the Hawthorn Amateur Football Club in establishing a WINGS Mental Health Program for members of the community, and is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our members.

In Australia, 45% of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. Over one million adults live with depression, and two million live with anxiety. If you are having difficulty managing your mental health, including illnesses such as depression, anxiety disorder, and addiction, or you are experiencing suicidal or self-harming thoughts, loneliness, isolation or a past trauma, you can get help. It can get better.

If you would like to have a confidential conversation about the WINGS Mental Health Program then contact WINGS Manager Eamon Charles.

Eamon is trained to deliver Mental Health First Aid and is a practising health professional. He can help guide you towards appropriate professional services to meet your needs, or simply listen to your story. The hardest step is often talking to someone for the first time, but it could be the most important step you take in your recovery.
